I chose to attend LaSalle College of Design for a few reasons: It is a convenient location; the class schedules allowed me to continue working part-time while at school; and the ability to earn a 2-year diploma in just one year.
As this was a career change for me, I wanted to gain as much necessary knowledge, in the least amount of time, so I can go out there and start my new career, and that was exactly what happened. Because of the education I received at LaSalle, from a very knowledgeable and helping staff, I was able to build an impressive portfolio, and show a skill level that earned me a full-time job, only 2 weeks after graduation!
I am now a full-time interior designer, working in a highly acclaimed architectural firm, and I know I would not be where I am at, if it were not for LaSalle!
Tali S. My experience at LaSalle College Vancouver was ideal for my one year diploma in Interior Design. The atmosphere was very friendly and I loved the fact that there were not too many students per class which gave me more one on one time with my teachers who were always eager to assist.
I would definitely recommend LaSalle College to anyone who is interested in pursuing a career in the design field.

“The Instructors at LaSalle are very professional and knowledgeable. My favourite class was Illustration because it was the first step to bringing my design ideas to life. LaSalle College is in a very convenient location close to everything in Downtown.”

“I didn’t know the first thing about Fashion Design before I entered the program. I had never even touched a sewing machine! Now that I’m graduating I can apply the concepts to make my own collection.”

“Because of the smaller class sizes, you get to know your classmates and instructor very well. It’s a very friendly atmosphere to work in.”

“One thing that I really enjoyed about going to school at LaSalle is the amount of attention we got from the instructors. Also, working with a local designer for my practicum opened my eyes up to how the industry is outside of school and helped me expand my work experience and portfolio.”
