LCV Graduate designs new Sudoku App

January 17, 2018

Kamin Spencer is a young junior game designer and developer who graduated from LaSalle College Vancouver (LCV)'s Game Art & Design diploma program in the Spring of 2017. Kamin, along with the rest of the team at 81 Monkeys, designed and launched the new Sudoku app called Sudoku Scramble.

Sudoku Scramble is a multiplayer-version of the number-placement puzzle game. New and improved versions of the app were released three times for free download and then pulled back as the team refined the game further according to feedback they received from the players. The app is free for both iOS and Android platforms. The studio makes its return from ads that appear during gameplay and from some in-app purchases of special features and additional challenges available.

Kamin is part of the small team at 81 Monkeys, a local mobile games and app development company in Port Moody, BC. 81 Monkeys is a local mobile games and app development company with over 12 years of experience in the game industry. The team, which has been working together for a couple of years, was funded by Stephane Cotichini, former part-time instructor at LaSalle College Vancouver, and is also composed of Kamin Spencer (junior game designer and developer), Cameron Gomez (lead game developer and audio composer), and Nate Wiesel (artist and junior designer).
