Chef Timothy Budd brings extensive local and international culinary experience to his faculty position at The International Culinary School at LaSalle College Vancouver.
After completing Commercial Baking & Pastry and Culinary Arts programs in Vancouver, Chef Budd completed his apprenticeship with the William Tell Restaurant. Soon after, he traveled overseas to complete a “stage” (volunteer opportunity) in Zurich, Switzerland, then went to Austria to gain experience as Chef de Partie.
He specialized as Assistant Pastry Chef on Disney Cruise Lines and participated on the opening team of The Disney Magic in Florida. He also worked as Chef de Partie and Sous Chef for Holland America Cruise Lines.
Chef Budd was part of the opening team for Pastis and the OPUS Hotel, as well as Sous Chef for the William Tell Restaurant and the prestigious Vancouver Club. He has been inspired by many local chefs, including Chef Pierre Dubrulle, Chef Scott Kid and Chef Frank Pabst, however his largest inspiration remains his family and both of his grandmothers.
Chef Budd enjoys assisting students and takes tremendous pride in helping them achieve their long term goals through his teaching, while keeping himself involved with local charities and fundraising events to “give something back to the community”.
