Shahab is an interior designer with several years of experience in interior design and architecture. He holds a Master of Interior Design degree from the University of Manitoba and a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Tehran.
He also holds the NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design) certificate and his professional experience includes healthcare, retail and institutional design in various scales. He has worked in award winning architecture and interior design firms in Winnipeg and Vancouver.
Shahab has taught design related software and also supervised various design studios at LaSalle College Vancouver. His background in architecture and interior design has led him to study the comparative and mutual history and theory of both and perform research in the overlapping subjects. His interest in design also includes heritage preservation and the adaptive reuse of existing spaces in new challenging ways.
Teaching has been a wonderful and unique experience for him; observing the different design methods that each student uses and applying diverse teaching methods that are most suitable to each student.
