This Degree is offered under the written consent of the Minister of Advanced Education, Skills & Training.

This program does not require approval by the registrar of the Private Training Institutions Branch (“PTIB”) of the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills.

All courses are available on-campus within an engaging and collaborative atmosphere.

Attractive bursaries up to $5,500 ($91.00/credit registered) are available for domestic students and $10,000 ($166.00/credit registered) for international students, based on 60 credits.

Bursaries are awarded on a quarterly basis and eligible to be renewed if the student maintains a minimum 2.4 GPA each quarter as well as a minimum course load of four courses (12 credits)* and **.

Bursaries are not refundable or transferable across programs. They can only be used for tuition.

* Exceptions to the course load requirement are made if a student has a documented learning accommodation requirement.
** Bursaries will be honoured if course load is less than 12 credits, and it is the student’s final quarter needed for program completion.

The goal of this program is to prepare students with the knowledge, skills, and experiences that are foundational to be successful in transfer into a Bachelor’s degree at LaSalle College or one of British Columbia’s universities.

The Associate of Arts degree at LaSalle College Vancouver prepares graduates for further study in a Faculty of Arts bachelor’s degree program at one of British Columbia’s universities. The program provides students a comprehensive liberal arts education in a supportive and nurturing learning environment, and supports the development of strong critical thinking, communication and research skills sought after by employers. Students can earn two degrees in 3-4 years depending on their pace of studies.

• Students directly out of high school, or mature students who are ready to pursue an undergraduate degree at one of British Columbia’s university

• Students interested in developing their critical thinking perspective and gaining a comprehensive liberal arts education
• Students who want to better understand themselves, their communities, and the world

International students may be eligible to apply for a post-graduation work permit (PGWP), if they graduated from an Associate of Arts degree from LaSalle College Vancouver.

Completing the Associate of Arts degree allows students to transfer into a Bachelor’s degree at LaSalle College or one of British Columbia’s universities.
The breadth of the Associate of Arts degree also makes it a powerful complement to the industry skills developed in our design diplomas.   
Most students who graduate from this program will pursue further education, but students who choose to enter the workforce directly will have developed communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills that are highly sought-after by employers.
