VANCOUVER, July 20, 2015 - LaSalle College Vancouver is proud to welcome the 22^nd LCI Education network member, the Academy of Design Australia, extending the network to twelve countries on five continents.

Located in Melbourne— Australia’s design and fashion capital— the Academy of Design Australia is recognized for its Bachelor of Design Arts and its practical programs developed in partnership with leading industry specialists. The institution also finished first in the latest Australian Graduate Survey, ranking graduates’ satisfaction with the quality of courses available in art and design in the greater Victoria state region.

The Academy of Design Australia specialises in tertiary-level art, design and digital media. The Academy is an independent institution established in 1998 to meet the demand for innovative education programs in creative, design-based studies. Graduates are prepared via a concentrated course - the equivalent contact hours of a four-year university course, delivered in three years.

The unique Bachelor of Design Arts degree (BDA), the first of its kind in Australia, was developed in consultation with leading practicing art and design professionals and educators. Programs are offered in the areas of Communication Design, Fashion & Costume Design, Filmmaking & Photography, Graphic & Digital Design and Visual Arts.
