Structured Work Experience and Training workshop

S.W.E.A.T. 2018

April 4, 2018

On March 19th-22nd 2018, LaSalle College Vancouver hosted our annual Structured Work Experience and Training workshop. The S.W.E.A.T. program provides High School students with the opportunity to earn valuable work experience in a simulated creative work environment. Students got to choose their area of interest from a wide array of industry areas: design, media arts, fashion and culinary. The students had a chance to interact with multiple instructors with valuable industry background. The amount of information and knowledge these students learned in just four days was outstanding. The outcome was incredible!

“This work experience not only showed me the duty, unique crafting, and lifestyle an interior designer gets to go through, but it also showed me the kind of atmosphere college has and I couldn't be more thankful for an opportunity like this. Thanks again!” - Student from Moscrop Secondary School

“I would like to thank you for the opportunity that you have provided me to learn more about Interior Design at LaSalle College Vancouver during my Work Experience placement.” - Student from David Thompson Secondary School

“LaSalle College Vancouver has provided me fundamental skills and qualities that a good Interior Designer should have. By participating in the S.W.E.A.T. 2018 program at LaSalle College, I gained valuable experience regarding the daily tasks performed as an Interior Designer.” - Student from David Thompson Secondary School
