On March 18, LaSalle College Vancouver (LCV) presented their Tenth Anniversary student designer show at the Vancouver Fashion Week FALL/ WINTER 2019 opening GALA.
The collections featured in the show were selected among outstanding students from LCV’s fashion design program. The students have put a lot of time and talent into their collections and their hard work and dedication showed at the runway at Vancouver Fashion Week. LaSalle College Vancouver students – Prisco, Shaghayegh Tafreshi, and Valentina Valor – will be the only designers to show their entire collection at the Taboo-themed gala opening this year.
Design student Prisco presented a genderless collection that celebrates the raw beauty of natural fabrics and effortless flow. Tafreshi’s collection was influenced by the merging of Western and Persian cultures coupled with architecture, which she previously studied. Valor is a Venezuelan designer and artist who merges art, history, and culture in her gender-fluid work, with the goal of making people feel confident.
