We are very proud of the alumni that our school produces. We were excited to introduce these alumni to our current students. This weeks focus was on the game design industry and we hosted an industry event for our students. In attendance were seven of our alumni who are currently working at companies like Microsoft, Blackbird Interactive, Phoenix Labs, Pocket Pinata Interactive, Electronic Arts. The panel focused on the importance of networking both inside and outside of the classroom.
Providing opportunities like these to our current students allows them to have an inside look on what it takes to be successful. It is important for students to learn from industry experts to provide them insight in skills needed to be successful prior to their graduation.
During this event we were pleased to announce that once again LaSalle College Vancouver was ranked #1 school in Canada for Game Design by The Princeton Review. It is a tremendous achievement for our game faculty and we are thrilled to be included on a list with such fine institutions as New York University (NYU) and University of Southern California (USC).
