Last week the winners of the 28th Hyatt Regency – Make-A-Wish Foundation annual gingerbread lane competition were announced with LaSalle College Vancouver’s Baking & Pastry Arts and Culinary students in collaboration with the 3D modeling students taking first place in the amateur category.  There were over 30 entries in this year’s competition and this is the second time out of the last three years LaSalle College Vancouver’s students have taken the gold medal.

In addition to the prizes awarded, there will also be a people’s choice award which is open to all entries and decided by people who donate to the Make-A-Wish foundation and voting on their favorite display. We would encourage everyone to take the trip downtown to view the displays and vote.

Special congratulations go to our Baking and Pastry Arts students: Trong Long Do, Orkun Duygulu, RunHan Liu, Hsian-Jung Chu, Thi Thu Trang Nguyen, Laura Vallejo Bernal, Thi Mai Phuong Duong, Yvonne Zhao, MengShan Chun and Yi-Tai Lee.
